Double Surface Phototherapy Unit LEDs are made of Mild Steel Epoxy Powder Coated.

The double Surface Phototherapy Unit is used by newborn babies to cure Jaundice. Jaundice can pose a serious problem because of high levels of bilirubin which can permanently damage the brain. This indirect bilirubin which is not water-soluble and can be decomposed to a harmless metabolic which is water soluble and does not cross the blood-brain barrier and is rapidly excreted in the bile and urine and so does not accumulate. This is achieved by exposing the infant to bright light (app. 4.5 microwatts/sq.cm/nm) in the range of 420 to 480nm wavelength. This is used for the treatment of Hyperbillirubiaemia in Neonates, which provides a light source in the range of 420-480 nm wavelength.
